Frequently asked questions
Is this right for my business?
Very likely, if you run a small business and want clearer priorities before spending more time or money on marketing.
The Reset works across different industries because the basics are usually the same: how people find you, how clearly they understand what you offer, whether they trust you, and how easy it is to take the next step.
It is especially useful if marketing feels messy, inconsistent, or harder than it should be.
Not sure? That is exactly what the discovery call is for. We will talk it through and see whether it is the right fit.
Can't I just use AI to do this myself?
Honestly, partly. I use AI too.
It can give you a tidy list of what might be missing in seconds, and that part is close to free now. But a list is not the hard bit.
The hard bit is knowing which two or three things actually matter for your business, which ones can wait, and what you are actually going to act on.
AI does not know the customers you want more of, the work you want less of, or the details that only come out in a proper conversation.
That is where the Reset helps. You get a real person looking at the whole picture, telling you straight what matters, and giving you a practical plan you can act on.
Do I need any marketing knowledge?
None at all.
The process is designed to be clear and straightforward, whatever your experience.
Everything is explained in plain English, with no jargon and no assumptions about what you already know.
You’ll leave with a practical view of where your marketing is now, what matters most, and what to do next.
If anything in the report needs talking through, the follow up call is there for exactly that.
What does the process look like?
Simpler than you might expect.
We start with a conversation about your business.
What you are doing now.
What is working.
What you would like to improve.
I then carry out the review and send your written Reset Report, usually within five working days once I have everything I need.
After that, we have a follow up call to talk through the findings, answer any questions, and agree what to do first.
How quickly will I see results?
It depends on what you put into action, where your marketing is now, and what needs fixing.
Some quick wins can be made straight away.
The action plan starts with low effort changes that are likely to have the quickest impact.
Bigger improvements usually take longer, which is why the plan is split into what to do now, what to focus on over the next 30 to 60 days, and what can wait.
That way, you know what to tackle first without trying to fix everything at once.
Will I be told to spend more money on marketing?
No. Not by default.
Often, the most useful improvements cost little or nothing.
Clearer messaging.
Stronger first impressions.
Better handling of existing enquiries.
Simple follow up with people who already know you.
Those things can make a real difference before any extra budget is needed.
If spending money does make sense, the Reset will explain where it is likely to help, why it matters, and what to prioritise first.
What if previous marketing advice hasn't worked for me?
That is more common than you might think.
Often, the advice was not wrong in theory.
It just did not fit the business, the budget, the time available or the kind of customers you actually want.
A lot of marketing advice assumes you have more time, more money and more people than most small businesses really have.
The Reset is different because it starts with your business as it is now.
What is realistic.
What is worth doing.
What can wait.
And what probably needs leaving alone.
You get practical, honest advice built around your situation, not a generic list of things small businesses are apparently meant to do.
What if the problem isn't my marketing?
Honestly, that can be one of the most useful things the Reset tells you.
Sometimes the real issue is pricing, offer clarity, positioning, or how enquiries are handled.
In that case, more marketing activity may not be the answer.
Knowing that early means you can focus your time and money in the right place, instead of pushing harder on something that was never going to fix the real problem.
Will I need to implement everything myself?
With the Reset, you get the plan rather than ongoing delivery.
That is intentional.
The quick wins are designed to be practical, and each recommendation explains what to do and why it matters.
Some people run the plan themselves. Others prefer help putting it into action.
If you would rather have regular support, that is what Marketing Lite, Partner and Lead are for.
Can I just book the Reset without ongoing support?
Yes.
The Reset is a standalone service.
If the report and action plan give you enough to get moving, that is perfectly fine.
Ongoing support is only there if you would rather have help putting the plan into action.
No pressure. No long contract. No awkward follow up.
What is not included in the Reset?
The Reset is a practical marketing review, not a full technical SEO audit, brand design project, campaign build or ongoing delivery service.
It will show you what matters, what needs attention and what to do first.
If you want help implementing the work after that, we can talk about ongoing support.
Can we meet in person to discuss my marketing?
Usually, we do not need to.
Most Reset work can be done by call, email and shared links, which keeps the process simple and efficient.
But if you are local to Great Dunmow, Essex, or nearby, meeting in person can be useful.
Especially if it helps me understand the business, the customers, the team, or the space properly.
We can talk about what makes most sense on the discovery call.
Will what I share with you stay confidential?
Yes.
Anything you share on a discovery call, during the Reset, or as part of ongoing support is treated confidentially.
I will not share details of your business, marketing, plans or challenges without your permission.
The more open you can be about where things are, the more useful the whole process becomes.
How do I know which service is right for me?
If you want clarity on where your marketing stands, start with the Reset.
For many businesses, the report and action plan give them enough to get moving on their own.
Ongoing support makes sense if you want regular help putting the recommendations into action.
Marketing Lite is for direction and feedback while you do the work.
Marketing Partner is for more hands on help working through it together.
Marketing Lead is for businesses that need senior marketing direction without hiring someone full time.
Still unsure? That is exactly what the discovery call is for.
No obligation.
I'm interested - what's the first step?
Book a free discovery call.
It takes around 30 minutes and there is no obligation.
We’ll talk through your business, where marketing feels stuck, and what you would like to improve.
I’ll answer any questions and we’ll see whether the Reset or ongoing support is the right fit.
There is a booking link at the top of every page.
