Frequently asked questions
Is this right for my business?
Almost certainly. While every business is different, the core principles of good marketing are consistent across industries — how potential customers find you, how clearly your offer comes across, and how easily people can take the next step.
Not sure if it applies to you? The discovery call is the quickest way to find out.
Do I need any marketing knowledge?
None at all. The whole process is designed to be clear and straightforward whatever your experience. Everything is explained in plain English — no jargon, no assumptions about what you already know.
You'll leave with a clear picture of where you are and exactly what to do next. And if anything in the report needs more explanation, 30 days of follow-up support is included.
What does the process look like?
Simpler than you might expect. We start with an hour's conversation about your business — what you're doing, what's working, and what you'd like to improve. I then carry out the review and come back with the written report within five working days. After that you have an optional follow-up call to walk through the findings, plus 30 days of email support included.
Will I need to implement everything myself?
For the Reset, yes — but it's designed with that in mind. The quick wins are straightforward to action yourself, and everything in the report comes with clear guidance on what to do and how.
If you'd like hands-on help putting things into action, that's what the ongoing support packages are for.
How quickly will I see results?
It depends on what you implement — but some improvements can make an impact within days. The Priority Action Plan includes quick wins chosen for low effort and fast impact.
Bigger improvements take a little longer, which is why the plan is structured around now, 30–60 days, and longer term priorities — so you always know what to tackle first.
How is this different from hiring a marketing agency?
Agencies are typically set up for businesses with bigger budgets and ongoing execution needs — retainer contracts, campaign management, a team working on your behalf.
The Marketing Reset is built for something different. It's independent, flexible, and focused on giving you the clarity and direction to make better decisions yourself — without the cost or commitment of an agency relationship.
Not sure which is right for you? That's exactly what the discovery call is for.
How much does it cost?
Every service is clearly priced with no hidden extras. The Marketing Reset is £350 fixed. The Sounding Board is £100 per session or £175 with a follow-up call. Ongoing support starts from £200 per month for Marketing Lite, £500 for Marketing Partner, and £1,200 for Marketing Lead — all cancellable anytime. Full details are on the services page.
Will I be told to spend more money on marketing?
Not always — and often the most valuable improvements cost nothing at all. Clearer messaging, stronger first impressions, and better handling of existing enquiries can make a significant difference before any additional budget is needed.
Where spending money does make sense, the Reset will tell you exactly where it's worth it and why.
Can we meet in person to discuss my marketing?
Most sessions are held online — it keeps things flexible and means we can get started quickly wherever you're based.
For clients on an ongoing support plan, in-person meetings are available and particularly useful for reviewing progress or planning what's coming next. I'm based in Great Dunmow in Essex, so face-to-face works well for anyone local.
If you have a preference, just mention it on the discovery call and we'll work out what suits best.
What if previous marketing advice hasn't worked for me?
That's more common than you'd think — and it's rarely down to the business. Most generic marketing advice is built for bigger budgets and broader audiences, and simply doesn't translate to smaller businesses with real constraints on time and money.
The Marketing Reset is built specifically for where you are — practical, focused and honest about what's actually worth doing for a business like yours.
What if the problem isn't my marketing?
Honestly, that's one of the most valuable things the Reset can tell you. Sometimes the real issue is pricing, positioning, offer clarity, or how enquiries are handled — and no amount of marketing will fix that.
Knowing that early means you can focus your energy in the right place, rather than spending more on marketing that was never going to solve the real issue.
Will what I share with you stay confidential?
Absolutely. Everything discussed — whether on a discovery call, during the Reset, or as part of ongoing support — stays strictly between us.
The more open you can be about where things are, the more useful the whole process becomes.
How do I know which service is right for me?
If you want clarity on where your marketing stands, start with the Reset. Many people find the report and action plan gives them everything they need to get moving.
Ongoing support makes more sense if you want regular help putting recommendations into action or someone to keep things on track over time.
Still unsure? That's exactly what the discovery call is for — no obligation, just a straightforward conversation to work out what makes sense for you.
